Spring Tulips

As we were meandering through the local supermarket, I spotted a bucket with flowers that were on sale. I haven't been lucky enough to find one of these at our usual supermarket before, so feeling well chuffed I treated myself to a couple of bunches of Tulips... they were only 69p each! It's just like having Spring in the living room :)

I've picked up the knitting needles again (haven't done any knitting for a while since I learnt how to crochet) and started on a little cardigan for my Tangkou dolls. I picked the wool up in a charity shop for 10p, it has a silky feel to it.

A couple of posts ago I showed you some Swallows and said I'd show another picture of them up in the conservatory. Andrew put them up this afternoon :)

Take care

  3. I love tulips too. The OH got me some lovely daffs the other day - I think I prefer spring flowers to the more perfumed summer flowers. Love the swallows too!

  7. Isn't it nice to imagine spring is almost here? We are doing the same thing with a bunch of daffodils (jonquils) that my husband brought home from the grocery store the other day.

  14. The swallows look really nice on the wall. I adore tulips and would have them in the house year round if it wasn't so extravagant! Well done on finding some bargain flowers. I bet they add some welcome colour.

  18. I always check out the reduced section for flowers (I never buy full priced ones). In our local Tesco (a small one) they used to have them at the back side of the display and they were generally available most mornings however recently they have moved them to the freezer aisle (?) I'm sure there is a very good reason for that but darned if I can think of it! I love seeing the spring flowers it reminds me they will soon be in the garden too. I can't wait!
